Drawing on recent evidence, two decades of brain imaging, and unique aspects of trauma within the Irish experience, this session will explain why some individuals are more resilient while others remain vulnerable to trauma.Dr Micheal Keane will also discuss the brain’s capacity for recovery and present new approaches to therapy and self-care. He specialises in functional brain imaging using EEG. He has worked in hospital medicine, academia, clinical neuroscience, and performance sectors like the Premier League, UFC, and NFL. He is widely published, including a recent invitation to author the US Psychiatry Guidelines for the use of EEG and technology-assisted therapies. He has pioneered the latest advances in 3D functional brain imaging and brain optimisation technologies.
