Next Progress Art Workshop Galway Animation Workshop in expressive animation techniques with Animator Edith Pieperhoff Galway City May 25th and 26th 10:30 to 4:30pm
About the workshop.
This workshop will introduce the participants to various beautiful hands-on techniques to create animations in a creative and intuitive way.
No previous experience of animation is needed. We will use a multiplane workstation which allows the participants to explore various techniques: animating with oil-paints on glass, animating with sand, animating with coloured semi-transparent paper and light and much more. Participants will be introduced to some inspiring examples of non-digital animation, followed by a demonstration of the various techniques.
The participants will each have a chance to try their hands at experimenting and at developing ideas for their own short animation. Completed animations can be uploaded to social media and video platforms.
