Parking will be close to the Primary school.   
The Start is at the edge of the wood just beside the fence around the primary school and the finish is inside the school grounds.

Courses
 There are 3 courses available.

Short and medium are both traditional linear courses i.e. the order in which you visit the controls is shown on the map.

Long:  this uses 20 controls - they must be visited such that odd and even control box numbers alternate i.e. if you start on an odd numbered box the next only counts if it is an even numbered box then an odd one followed by an even one.  Should you choose to visit an even numbered box first than the next one is odd etc.  Controls visited out of order will not count.  Controls visited more than once will only count once.  Placings are decided initially by number of counting controls punched and ties are resolved by time taken (i.e. a score event).  Competitors on this course may like to think about how they will keep track of which controls they have visited and which they have still to visit. Controls are numbered 45 through to 64.

The slippery bridge close to the Primary school has been improved and is no longer a significant risk.  The other bridge on the north side of the map may still be slippery and care will be needed when crossing – there is a handrail.  There are muddy and squelchy bits in this wood.  The fence by the driveway at the top of the map is visible in places and crossable.
Starts run from 18:30 hrs to 19:00 hrs. Courses close at 19:40 hrs



 This is Solway's second night O event of 2025. 

The start times  will run from 18:30 - 19:00. Courses will close at 19.:40.

Please remember that an essential item is a working torch, preferably with sufficient battery charge to last for the duration of your run - it is a dark wood.

Short   1.4 km  
Medium   2 km  
Long     3.8 km
