Gather for a midday workshop of creativity, craftsmanship and good food with good people.
This hands-on experience offers a relaxed and thoughtful introduction to chocolate making, with space to learn, create and enjoy something delicious along the way.
We will be joined by Emily from As Raw As for a professionally guided workshop where you’ll create your own Easter chocolate treats to take home and share.
Emily will begin with a short introduction to her chocolate making journey, sharing how and why she makes chocolate the way that she does, along with a little background on the chocolate industry to provide context to her craft.
She will then demonstrate how to temper chocolate using Mycryo and how to create an Easter egg chocolate shell. Pre-made shells will be provided for each guest to use and take home.
Next, Emily will guide you through making chocolate truffles. Each guest will receive ten truffles to hand-coat in dark chocolate before rolling them in their chosen additional ingredients. Seasonally appropropriate options may include:
• Ground orange
• Raw cacao powder
• Dried apple
• Dried raspberry
• Desiccated coconut
Your finished truffles will be packaged in a home compostable Naturflex bag and sealed with an Easter sticker. They will then be placed into a square kraft box, tied with ribbon and finished with an Easter egg tag.
By the end of the workshop, you will head home with:
• A pre-made chocolate Easter egg shell filled with your handmade truffles
• A bag of chocolate
• Your very own egg mould and additional untempered chocolate to continue creating at home
All materials and tools are provided. Simply come ready to create.
A light lunch is included in your ticket, with refreshments on offer throughout. Whether you are flying solo or coming with friends, expect a welcoming, convivial atmosphere and that unmistakable Cary Good Things sense of community.
You’ll finish around 2pm with beautifully packaged chocolate creations, new skills, and the confidence and tools to continue experimenting at home.
Good Things. Good People. Good Food. And VERY Good Chocolate.
PS: The cost of ticket platform processing and credit card charges are paid for within your ticket price by All The Good Things.
