I’m delighted to invite you to join me for the 2026 Workshop in beautiful Sicily! From June 8 to June 14, we’ll be gathering in the charming seaside town of Castellammare del Golfo, located just 45 minutes from Palermo.

Castellammare is a picturesque port-side village known for its small fishing boats, excellent restaurants, and welcoming Mediterranean atmosphere. It’s an inspiring setting-perfect for creativity, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. In the evenings, the town comes alive with gentle sea breezes, warm light, and plenty of wonderful places to stroll, dine, and take in the view. 

I hope you’ll join us for this special week of learning, exploration, and artistic growth in one of Sicily’s most beautiful coastal towns.

Art Instruction and Demonstrations

Denis will offer daily on-site demonstrations and group instruction. You’ll also enjoy ample free time, with opportunities for individualized guidance for anyone inspired to sketch, paint, photograph, or write.

Accommodations

Our home base will be Hotel Cetarium, beautifully situated right on the harbor—a wonderful setting where everyone can savor the creative energy inspired by this unique and vibrant location. Hotel Cetarium is one of the oldest buildings in Castellammare.  The hotel is the result of a meticulous restoration, for example, inside the breakfast room guests can still admire the ancient pointed-arch arcades of the Macaseno della Tonnara.

Meals

Your stay includes a generous breakfast each morning, along with a welcome  dinner the first night, lunches during our four excursions, and a farewell group dinner at the end of the workshop. 

Transportation

Private coach service will be provided for pick-up and drop-off to and from Palermo Airport. We will also be traveling by private coach for all group excursions and day trips. All tickets for scheduled day trip destinations are included and will be provided by the workshop.

Enjoy inspiring outings perfect for painting, drawing, photography, and exploring Sicily’s rich history and landscapes.

    Doric Temple of Segesta – Capture the timeless beauty of one of Sicily’s best-preserved ancient Greek temples, surrounded by rolling hills and dramatic light.
    Erice – Wander the cobblestone streets of this medieval hilltop village, with panoramic views and charming corners ideal for sketching and strolling.
    Trapani & the Culcasi Salt Pans – Discover the unique colors and textures of the historic salt flats, windmills, bird watching and coastal landscapes—wonderful subjects for watercolor or drawing.
    Grotta Mangiapane – Explore this remarkable mountain-side village built directly into a massive grotto. A rare and fascinating setting filled with rustic architecture and atmospheric shadows, with a vista to the sea.

Workshop Fee: $3840.

Non-participant fee: $3640.

    Remaining balance due by March 1, 2026
