Orlando artist Doug Rhodehamel will create an installation of cardboard artwork as a tribute to his friend Dave Plotkin, a major player in the cultural and political life of Central Florida.
Flight of the Pickle fish is an immersive installation constructed from discarded cardboard (discardboard) featuring colorful coral-like columns, surrounded by dozens of delightful pickle fish.
 
There will be cheese and pickles.
 
Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Doug Rhodehamel moved to Orlando in 1993. He has a passion for building things from discarded and surplus materials. His work is instantly relatable. His mushroom installations have been planted on every continent including Antarctica. Doug believes that creativity is the key to anything worthwhile.
