His topic for the speech will be “The Forests, Meadows, and Ponds of the Late Cretaceous.” Johnson oversees the world’s largest natural history collection and his research focuses on fossil plants and the extinction of dinosaurs. He has hosted several PBS shows including Making North America, The Great Yellowstone Thaw; Polar Extremes; Ice Age Footprints; and Walrus: Life on Thin Ice.

The keynote will be on Saturday, May 30th at 6:00pm at the Ramkota Hotel, 800 N. Poplar, Casper.  Tickets for they dinner and talk are $30 each and can be purchased by May 26th by calling the museum at 307-268-2447 and asking for Dalene.
