Growing old on the Mendocino Coast has both up and downsides. We’ve always had to prepare differently than those in larger communities. We still need unique forethought and creative workarounds. Local professionals are volunteering advice to save you time and stress and money.

It’s a gift to those we love to handle everything we can, legally and practically.

Of all nine northern rural counties the Mendocino Coast has the highest incidence of older adults living alone. Our income averages are lower, many live far from extended families and in small communities with no public transportation. It’s more difficult to live independently as we age. But together, we can figure it out.
