❄️ Beginner-Friendly Snowshoeing
This guided program is designed for beginners and includes snowshoe basics and winter safety. Participants will meet at the Pikes Peak Gateway to pick up snowshoes and poles before driving partway up the mountain (restrooms available here).

?️ On the Mountain
Weather permitting, the hike begins at the former ski area at mile 11.5 (10,600 ft) on the Pikes Peak Highway. The snowshoe hike is approximately 90 minutes round trip, with frequent stops for rest and learning. The pace is easy, though terrain may be steep.

⏱️ Program Timing
Plan for about 3 hours total, from meeting at the Gateway to returning to your vehicles. Arrive at entrance by 9:45 AM to be fitted with your equipment.
