He has also recorded as a session guitarist on over twenty albums for artists including Grammy nominee Tift Merritt, Caitlin Cary, Thad Cockrell and Tres Chicas among others and appears in the book North Carolina Musicians: Photographs and Conversations by Daniel Coston. As a composer, arranger & bandleader, his group Mike Krause & The Third Expression has been featured on North Carolina Public Radio’s “The State of Things” and released their debut album 'Instrumental Americana' in 2024.
