About this Event

Aging Transitions Roundtable

The Aging Transitions Roundtable is a professional, discussion-based forum focused on improving decision-making during aging-related transitions.

As health, responsibilities, and family roles evolve over time, important decisions are often made under pressure. This roundtable brings together experienced professionals from multiple disciplines to examine where risk commonly emerges, and how greater clarity can prevent costly mistakes before action is required.

The inaugural session will introduce perspectives across key areas including:

  • Decision-making under stress
  • Medical and Medic*tion oversight
  • Advocacy and navigating complex systems
  • Building a reliable support network
  • Protection against technology-enabled fraud

This is not a support group or sales presentation. It is a structured, moderated conversation designed for individuals who want to think ahead, ask better questions, and approach aging transitions with greater clarity.

Seating is intentionally limited to preserve discussion quality.

Featured Expert Perspectives

Christina Buchanan (M.S., CCC-SLP, CDCS) – Building a reliable support team
Dr. Mara Karpel (Ph.D) – Advocacy within an age-biased healthcare system
Mark Wiener (CEO, BizCom Global) – Cybersecurity and fraud risk for older adults
Dr. DeLon Canterbury (PharmD, BCGP) – Medic*tion risk and deprescribing strategies

Facilitated by Michael Lewis (CFA, MBA) who will guide framing, discussion flow, and closing reflections.
