A Praying Church Seminar - Cary, NC

This event is a Friday evening and a Saturday morning

Together, we’ll survey praying communities through the ages and into today and discover what—or who—makes them work. We’ll use tools like the prayer menu and the prayer pyramid to explore the how-to's of praying together, building our practical skills as we build our understanding. The goal of A Praying Church seminar is nothing less than to awaken the sleeping giant, the church, in our midst!

"This seminar began in 1966 when my father Jack Miller first visited L'Abri, Switzerland to meet Francis Schaeffer. There Dad saw something he'd never seen before, a praying community. For the next twenty years of his life, I saw dad work at developing a praying community. So this seminar stands on my father's shoulders. Not only did I learn from my father, but then in raising my family and leading several missions, I've learned by much trial and lots of error how to build a praying community. My desire in this seminar is to give participants a vision for and practical experience in a praying community. We will have multiple opportunities to learn the joy of praying together. Seminar Leader: Keith Grant

Keith Grant, a former pastor at Riverside Community Church (Horsham, PA), devoured A Praying Life over his lunch breaks before diving deeper into seeJesus materials (Person of Jesus, A Loving Life, The Love Course, and J-Curve). He has discovered a happy marriage of his teaching gifts and his passion for Jesus in becoming a speaker for seeJesus. “I get to lead people to the feet of Christ and watch their eyes light up as they see him in new ways.” Keith, who also serves seeJesus as a Development Officer and APL Coordinator, lives in West Chester, PA, with his wife Melissa and their two daughters.
