Las Posadas 2025

Las Posadas is a beautiful Mexican Christmas Tradition that we are participating in here at St. Francis. The tradition commemorates Mary and Joseph’s difficult journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a warm place to stay the night. (Posadas is Spanish for “lodgings ” or “accommodations.“)

Beginning on December 16 and ending on December 23, Las Posadas commemorates the nine months of Mary’s pregnancy. We will begin each night at 7pm** with music and storytelling of Mary and Joseph's search for a place to stay in Bethlehem.

**Please note that the novena will be said at 7:15pm on Wednesday, December 17th, due to other events scheduled that day.
