- **Event Description**: 11 Days - Dinner & a Show - 08/26/26 at 5:00PM - Carteret Performing Arts Center, 46 Washington Street, Carteret, NJ - This event is being put on by the Veterans Foundation of America, Special Forces Association Chapter 19, and AUSA - Join us for an amazing night of camaraderie and fun as we bring 11 Days here to New Jersey. This is a play written & performed by retired Green Beret, LTC Scott Mann. Scott was instrumental in getting our allies out of Afghanistan during the last 11 days of the US involvement in that war. He created TF Pineapple Express to try and get those Afghans that worked with US forces out of the country before they were hunted and killed by the Taliban. This is a similar story to the final days of the Vietnam War, so Vietnam veterans and GWOT veterans can both benefit and appreciate this show. This evening will also be highlighted with an amazing buffet dinner from Red White & Que Smokehouse BBQ, a Veteran Owned Business. We will also have the Vet Center and other therapists on hand, should anyone get triggered by the content. The date of this show is important as it takes place on the 5 year anniversary of the Abbey Gate bombing that killed 13 service members. We will have a display to honor all 13 KIA at the event.
