In the wake of Jill’s death, Lila seeks the comfort and support that are often elusive in contemporary society. This lack of support manifests itself in the form of remarks and actions from Jill’s well-intentioned former colleagues, Jill’s parents, and Lila’s family and friends, who are uncertain about how to address Lila’s bereavement appropriately. A death by suicide presents unique and sensitive circumstances that are unlike any other situation. Not Alone is a story of seeking a community where Lila can find understanding, acceptance, healing, and forgiveness.This musical deals with sensitive issues of mental health awareness and the subject of suicide. Viewer discretion is advised. Not suited for younger audiences.Due to limited seating, we ask that you RSVP by July 12, 2026.The workshop performance of Not Alone will be at California State University, Dominguez Hills, 1000 E. Victoria Street, Carson, CA 90747, in the Marvin Laser Recital Hall in LaCorte Hall. Parking for this event will be in Lot 6. Please be advised that a parking permit is needed and can be purchased at the kiosk.
