- **Event Description**: Learn & practice the art of typesetting with Janet KupchickAbout this EventExplore the art of typography as you handset metal type, just as Ben Franklin & Johannes Gutenberg once did, and countless contemporary letterpress printers still do.In this two-day workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of points, picas, type size, leading, and sorts—the essential elements for crafting a beautifully printed letterpress book. The workshop meets 10am to 4pm on Saturday, and 12pm to 4pm on Sunday.Students will spend about half the time setting their pages and half the time printing what they have composed.
