I personally have had the opportunity to ride with Kathy and she is wonderful! She has a keen eye and insight to both horse and rider.
Kathy King Johnson, M.Ed. is a multi-discipline, life-long trainer with a specialty in classical dressage. She brings her background in education and her experience in equine assisted psycho-therapy to create fun-filled, productive lessons for horse and rider.
Kathy showed through PSG, showed hunters and jumpers in schooling and rated shows, including the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show in Houston. Additionally, she was head trainer at Twin Lakes Friesian Farms in Texas.
She has trained extensively in dressage with “S” judge Debbie-Riehl Rodriquez and worked with Spanish Riding Schools bereiters Karl Mikolka and Hubert Roher, as well French classicists, Jean Froissard and Eric Calamet. Hunter/Jumper and eventing coaches include Grand Prix rider William Martin, Paul Kathen, and Olympic rider Eric Smiley.
Her traveling group of horses and riders, “The Hoofers” danced at many events across Colorado.
🤩Kathy loves working with children and riders of all ages and any level, in any disciplines involving horses and ponies.
She charges an aggravation fee for donkeys and mules.😆
Kathy is also a published author of four horse books. 😉
💘Forty-five minute private lesson-- $100
💝One hour group lessons 3 people - $60 per person
