- **Event Description**: We only open our gates to the public for ONE weekend of the year, so come and join us for our 27th Annual Pick Your Own Lavender Harvest.

Carshalton Lavender is South London’s special non-profit lavender harvest, run entirely by volunteers to help preserve the area’s historic lavender-growing heritage.

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July
10am to 5pm, last entry 4.30pm
Entrance via Oaks Way Centre gate, SM5 4NQ

Adult entry only: £2
Adult entry including a bunch of lavender picked by you: £5
Up to two children enter free with each paying adult

As well as picking lavender, visitors can enjoy food and drink, browse a range of stalls selling products and crafts, and buy lavender and other plants.

It’s also a beautiful opportunity to take photos of friends and family among the lavender in a relaxed outdoor setting.

There will be activities for younger visitors and their families too, including the Big Butterfly Count, bug-hunting and face-painting.

Carshalton Lavender has been selling its own lavender essential oil since the harvest events began and has distilled the oil on the field since 2009.

Exclusive Carshalton Lavender essential oil and floral water will be available to buy, along with award-winning skincare made with our essential oil.

In the early 1900s, blue fields of lavender could be seen all over Carshalton, Wallington, Mitcham, Waddon and Sutton. The Carshalton Lavender project exists to revive and maintain this local lavender heritage for future generations.

The plants grown on the field are all from cuttings taken from lavender originally grown in the area, and we are replanting our heritage lavender field in sections using plants propagated from our original stock.

Proceeds from this event help keep the project running from year to year.

Please note, the field is part of the Stanley Road Allotment site and entrance for this event is via Oaks Way Centre gate, SM5 4NQ.

Please take care not to confuse us with other commercial lavender fields nearby. Use postcode SM5 4NQ or search for Oaks Way Centre and you can’t go wrong.

Limited parking is available, with disabled spaces only at the Oaks Way gate entrance.
