Triumph for Trayvon
Join us for a Black History Month celebration + benefit for the ongoing work of Artists Designing Evolution (adé PROJECT)!
THE EVENT + PURPOSE ::
"If we do what we are called to do, curate events and conversations that lead to actions that lead to decisions about how we should and would live, we will win."
- Patrisse Khan-Cullors, Co-Founder, Black Lives Matter
The life of Trayvon Martin, and so many other other fallen soldiers, Warriors, and angels that have become ancestors in the struggle for freedom, are not forgotten. In honor of both Black History Month and the black experience, we take a moment to remember and reflect. We take a moment to listen. We take a moment to just BE. We take a moment to envision a community, and world beyond the ties of brutality, violence, and hate. We take a moment to be with one another, and celebrate who we are and the power we have to create + design our futures. We take a moment, because we deserve a moment. We will TRIUMPH FOR TRAYVON.

THE CALL TO ACTION ::
Toward history, art is our response.
We acknowledge and honor the innovators, educators, leaders, artists, musicians, engineers, teachers, preachers, mothers, fathers, daughters and sons that came before us. We seek to be the living manifestation of our ancestors dreams by liberating ourselves from anger, and centering our own happiness and joy. We take responsibility for knowing our own history, and learn from lessons of the past.
ART IS OUR RESPONSE.
