Hey Jesus, what's race got to do with it?
Middle and high school youth and their adult leaders are invited to join us for a time of worship, fellowship, and conversation about racism in our community through the lens of our common faith in Jesus Christ.
Everyone is invited to attend worship at Antioch Baptist which begins at 10:00 am. Following worship, we will have pizza for lunch (provided) and enjoy a time of fellowship together as we get to know one another.

One of our goals is to get our local youth in conversation with one another about the reality of racism in our country and in our community, and ways we as the church can respond with grace, justice and unity. Another goal is for us to brainstorm specific activities that we could do together in the future, like when we watched "Remember The Titans" and "The Hate You Give" movies and had discussions afterwards. It could also be as simple as going bowling or playing ball, or an evening of cards and board games. One of the most important things we can do is just spend time together!
Some long term goals we have include a trip to Charleston for a weekend retreat and worship at Mother Emanuel AME, and also a trip to Washington DC in 2020 to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
