Each intimate class is limited to 8 participants, includes guided instruction, materials, and the chance to create your own Halloween Masterpiece in Robert Bank Glass Barn Studio.CLASS OVERVIEWCelebrate fall at Remlinger Farms with fire, glass, pumpkins.....and ghosts.This special October torchworking class arrives just in time for the Great Big Fall Harvest Festival at the Farm.   Students will use real flame and molten glass to sculpt two adorable miniature creations to take home.This two hour hands-on class focuses on carving, sculpting and shaping borosilicate glass using traditional torchworking tools and techniques. Designed for complete beginners as well as those with some experience, students will discover how molten glass can be manipulated into organic shapes while creating texture, detail and dimension.  ***ALL STUDENTS please arrive 30 minutes prior to class for check-in, waiver approval and to grab your seat - WHAT YOU WILL LEARNDuring this experiential class, students will be introduced to:Basic glass safety and studio practicesINtroduction to borosilicate glass and its unique propertiesTorchworking fundamentalsBasic carving and sculpting techniquesHow to create texture and detail in molten glassUnderstanding heat control and flame chemistryBasic glass theory and how glass behaves when heated and cooledCommon glassworking tools and their usesColor application techniquesProper annealing and cooling processes
