You should have a clear understanding of how and why your gun works as it does. THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER CLASS! THIS IS NOT A “FIRST TIME SHOOTING” OR WORKING FROM A HOLSTER CLASS! All students must have ample experience working in and out of a holster from concealment. All students must know how to properly load/unload your pistol and clear all malfunctions. If you are a beginner, please contact us for private lessons. If you are not sure of your skill level, please contact us directly for an assessment. This is a multifaceted class designed to introduce the intermediate or advanced shooter to the various aspects of efficient, effective and accurate pistol shooting fundamentals and foundational skills. Intermediate and advanced shooters will benefit as we will help diagnose and correct any shooting errors or problem areas to help improve your shooting abilities. This is also an opportunity to work on any areas that the shooter themselves would like to request. COURSE BREAKDOWN: – Range orientation – Firearms safety – Shooting principals (holding, aiming, firing, timing) and how and why they apply to shooting. – Warm-up drills – Ready positions – Reloading techniques and malfunction clearance drills – Dry fire / live fire drills. – Strong hand and weak hand shooting. – Accuracy and speed development drills. – Engaging multiple targets. – Gear discussion/selection. – Alternate shooting positions – Q & A EQUIPMENT LIST: -Quality functional semi-automatic pistol -4 magazines minimum -Minimum of 250 rounds of regular target ammunition. -QUALITY CONCEALED kydex holster (IWB, OWB, AIWB or Duty Rig/Open Carry for LE —PLEASE NO flimsy nylon or cloth holsters.
