Waterflower emerged from the Latvian underground scene, first appearing in 2006 as Kroffork, making Sabine a pioneering female solo act in Latvia’s electronic music underground. Waterflower is a continuation of the noise / bedroom pop Kroffork project. 

Waterflower’s work has received critical acclaim, with the albums All Art Is Ecological and Balta Gaisma nominated for Zelta Mikrofons awards (Latvian music awards). As a multimedia artist, Waterflower also has an extensive music video showcase, shaped from in-depth collaborative projects with her peers. In 2022, her entirely self-created music video Mycelium (Step By Step) was featured in the Baltic Music Video selection at Riga International Film Festival, the Baltics' most notable film festival.
