- **Event Description**: It's a day out by the sea, meeting at Ogmore by Sea and following the coast to the mouth of the Afon Ogwr, then along the river to Ogmore Castle. If available, we'll cross on the stepping stones and visit Merthyr Mawr before crossing the river via a lovely bridge and heading over the common to St Brides Major. Maybe a pub stop is in order here... We'll then head to Southerndown, and if the tide is good on the day, we'll have an adventurous finish to our hike, following the intertidal zone back to the car park. There will be an opportunity to explore some caves, and of course, weather permitting, to swim.
