Bamboozle is an alt-rockabilly trio from the UK known for their high-energy performances, blending 1950s retro swing and rockabilly with modern alternative rock and pop sensibilities.
Band Members
The band's core members are:
Serena Sykes (a.k.a. 'The Bass Pixie'): Lead vocalist and double bass player.
Jim Knowler (a.k.a. 'The Gentleman'): Guitarist and songwriter, formerly of The Keytones.
Mike Orvis (a.k.a. 'The Mountain') or Jax Titmus: Drummers who complete the trio.
Music Style and Performances
Genre Fusion: Their sound is a dynamic fusion, described as crossing the energy of Hayley Williams (Paramore) with the raw diversity of Chris Isaak and a splash of Tina Turner's attitude. They perform both original songs and unique covers, such as Twenty-One Pilots' "Heathens".
Live Shows: They have built a reputation for compelling live shows across the UK and Europe, featuring Sykes' dynamic vocals and double bass stunts, and Knowler's thrilling guitar riffs.
Originals: They aim to be a mostly original band, with tracks like "Ice Cold Beer", "Rockin' Man", and "Bleed". Their debut album, RETROgrade, was released in 2020, and their most recent EP is titled Bamboozled.
