This event is FREE to participate but parking fees apply. This event is considered a true “polar plunge” with participants submerging themselves in cold water at their own discretion. As swimming may occur, participants must be confident in their swimming abilities and be aware of inherent risks around the ocean. Average water temperatures in January are 58 - 60 F.

Parking: $15 per vehicle for all day access in the South Cardiff parking lot is payable onsite via credit card or LAZ Parking app. No cash or touchless pay options available.
Accepted parking passes include: California State Library Parks Pass, California Explorer Vehicle Day Use Annual Pass, Disabled Discount Pass, Distinguished Veteran Pass, Golden Bear Pass, and Senior Golden Bear Pass.
Nearby street parking on Old Hwy 101 is available for free on a first come, first served basis.
Age: Plunge recommended for ages 5+ with adult supervision for minors. Confidence in ocean swimming is a must. All ages are welcome to enjoy other aspects of the event.
Preparation: Be prepared with a swimsuit, towel, sun protection and drinking water. Wetsuits, extra towels and warm layers are encouraged. Warm drinks and firepits will be available free of charge while supplies last. Don't forget to BYOM - Bring Your Own Mug!
Special Instructions: Event will be cancelled in the event of rain, high winds, or severe ocean swells. Participants will be notified of cancellation through the email they RSVP with and facebook event page.
