Come to Hendricks Dog Park in Carbondale to show off your dog costumes, human costumes, and have some Halloween fun!
There will be White House pizza and White House pizza gift cards, as well as Paws & Play Gift cards at $50 and $100 values! And one winner will win a gift card of $300 in pet care services! We also will have a doggie craft, candy, and treats.
Remember, we will be in a public place. You are responsible for your dogs and their behaviors. Non-aggressive dogs only please!
Please keep an eye on your dog to manage behavior and poop pick-up.

You don’t have to be present to win if you decide to leave early. You can Venmo us and we can donate that way as well if you don’t have cash.
📸 Be picture ready! - This year, we will have a tent set up to provide cover, and someone who has time set aside to take a cute pic of you and your pup, in the dog park entrance area.
Ruff Schedule of Events:
11am start time - feel free to do the doggie crafts on your way in and get a picture taken.
11:30am tricks & treats contest - the plan is for you and your dog to exit the dog park and for you to show off your dog’s tricks outside of the fence. The winner will get a $50 gift card for paws & play AND bragging rights!
12:00 pizza delivery
12:15pm Costume Contest then raffle drawing. Winners of the costume contest will win a White House Pizza Gift Card and categories will be scariest, cutest, funniest, and best human-animal Combo. Winners of the raffle will win Paws & Play Gift Cards.
12:40ish - “Parade” (group leashed walk) around RVR.
We are Paws & Play Pet Care, a small home-based daycare and boarding service run by a husband-wife team here in Glenwood Springs. We give dogs lots of love, attention, and a safe, home-like environment instead of a kennel. Although some families prefer house sitting, if your dog is friendly and non-aggressive, boarding with us can be a great fit.
Here’s a little about how we work:
Home throughout the day: Marie works from home, so we’re with the dogs most of the time. On the occasions when we both have to be out at the same time, we typically plan ahead and arrange for someone to cover those couple of hours so the dogs aren’t left alone for long.
Friendly dogs only: We only take well-mannered, non-aggressive dogs to make sure the group feels safe and comfortable.
Socialization & small group play: We typically have between 1–15 dogs a day. New dogs get to socialize with our regulars, who are all friendly and well-adjusted. They help newcomers settle in quickly so everyone can relax and feel at home.
Exercise beyond the backyard: We take dogs on daily walks, and often hikes too. Many of our “regulars” are great off-leash, so we can even take the group on pack hikes where they run free and come home happy and tired.
Reliability: We rarely close. When we travel, we plan ahead and bring in other trusted sitters to stay in our home and maintain care, so families can count on us long-term. You won’t be left scrambling last minute to find coverage.
