- **Event Description**: Drummers wanted for this year's Wharf To Wharf Race... all levels of experience! Sunday, July 27, start playing at 8am! A new starting location due to road construction: the race will start on Portola at around 38th St and head east. 

We'll be drumming at the Live Oak Library Branch at 2830 Portola Dr. (The race's music director wants us to be as near to the starting line as possible, as usual) Note: this year's race will start at 8am... earlier than usual... so we'll have to be parked at the library and set up before the streets are closed to vehicles at around 7am. 

Also, confirm in advance so I can get t-shirts for everyone! I've gathered 25 to 35 drummers near the starting line for the Wharf To Wharf Race for over 35 years! The race brings 16,000 runners, including elite runners, together to raise funds for area youth athletic programs... a great cause to get up early on a Sunday!

Bring hand drums and hand percussion instruments. I will provide a variety of shakers, and give a quick lesson to anyone who wants to play them.
