In this 4.5 hour workshop I’ll share my contemporary methods to practice and apply on any ceramics that need to be mended to allow you to repair and restore into something unique and resilient rather than disposing of! What to expect: A morning of mindfulness to learn the traditional Japanese art of Kintsugi and to apply this to a ceramic of your own that needs to be repaired. What to bring: A ceramic of your own like a vase/pot plant holder/bowl etc that is either broken in half or with 2 - 4 pieces broken off. You can also bring a ceramic that isn’t broken and I’ll teach you how to break it! Please note the technique I will share uses gold leaf / gold powder that is not food grade safe. If you don’t have a ceramic to use - there will be many ceramics on sale to choose from!
