The route is mostly out and back, with a gradual 450m climb up to the ruins of the WWII Camp Collins radar station, and a one hour detour to Suther Nek from the top.
The flowers will be spectacular, we have been up there a few times over the last weeks.
The trail is in VERY BAD condition. Downgraded from an MCSA grade 1m three years ago to currently a 2h at best. Good hiking or trail running shoes and sure footedness are a must. You may want to bring a trekking pole if you have one.
The weather forecast promises sun with some cloud and 19°C.
Fog, low cloud or a drizzle in the morning are possible and will NOT cancel.
