Born in the late ’60s, musicians from the American South took the blues, soul, gospel, and roots music they grew up on and forged it into a powerful new sound filled with grit, groove, and attitude.

From the pioneering sounds of The Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd to the swagger of The Black Crowes, with a little detour into Texas boogie territory with ZZ Top, FREEBIRD takes audiences on a journey through the music that defined a generation. Expect weeping guitars, foot-stomping grooves, whiskey-soaked riffs, and singalong classics delivered with raw passion and Southern spirit.

Leading the charge is SAMA-nominated blues-rock powerhouse Basson Laubscher alongside a band of musical rebels: Daniel Louw on drums, Johan “Noddy” Willemse on bass, Roan Mutting on guitar, and Willem Wolmarans on vocals and guitar. Together they’ll bring the stage to life for a night of unforgettable rock ‘n roll energy.
