Blending introspective lyricism with warm, folk-rock arrangements, her music draws influence from icons like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Simon & Garfunkel, as well as contemporary voices such as Laura Marling and Ruby Gill. Writing songs and poems since the age of seven, and first picking up a guitar at eight, Little Rock's storytelling is rooted in personal experience—navigating themes of memory, mental health, love, loss, and the complexities of growing up. Her honest, soul-searching style resonates through her live performances and carefully crafted songs. In 2024, Rochelle was joined by cellist Eden for the launch of her debut single Winter Years—a collaboration that quickly evolved into an integrated duo. Eden, who has played the cello since the age of six, brings over a decade of experience in performance, recording, and exploration of sound. Her grounded, expressive playing has become a defining element of Little Rock’s live sets, complementing Rochelle’s raw, reflective songwriting with rich, resonant depth. Now also studying sound engineering, Eden draws inspiration from artists like Jacqueline du Pré, and shares Rochelle’s belief that music doesn’t need to be perfect—it just needs to be real.
