Until very recently my audience was made up of my family, and friends. During Covid, with time on my hands, I decided to improve my craft and, with new found inspiration, wrote and published my first original, Over African Skies, at the age of 70. I followed up with another, Mayth (short for May the Eighth) a while later. I am continuing to work on new material, having fun, experiencing fulfilment, and feeling grateful. -------------------- AL Mountain -------------------- Hailing from a mountainside near Cape Town, AL blends a diverse array of influences to create a unique and vibrant sound on which to carry his message. Armed only with a guitar, AL produces grooves and melodies carrying elements of jazz, rock, hip-hop and more that are sure to get your foot tapping and bring a little light to your day. -------------------- SpieēlBeeld -------------------- Started in 2021 from Cape Town, South Africa. Afrikaans & English singer- songwriters with a heartfelt alternative twist. Blending raw emotion with atmospheric melodies. SpieēlBeeld crafts music that feels intimate and honest with a touch of fun. We experiment with integrated genres, and our lyrics are rooted in self-discovery and the bittersweet beauty of everyday life.
