Join CU Maurice River for the final event in our restoration-themed Tuesday on the Fly series with a guided walk at the restored South Cape May Meadows Preserve, led by The Nature Conservancy’s Damon Noe. Discover the rich history of this 200-acre coastal habitat, a critical stopover along the Atlantic Flyway and a haven for both migratory and resident bird species.

Once a bustling vacation town, South Cape May was abandoned in 1944 due to severe storm damage and coastal erosion. Decades of ecological decline followed until a major restoration in 2007 revitalized the area, rebuildng dunes, wetlands, and wildlife habitat.
