Join area writer, birder, and conservation advocate Kelly Ball to craft a life-sized bird sculpture from upcycled cloth and become part of a crowdsourced art project. Each handcrafted bird commemorates a real bird that lost its life after hitting glass. Your bird will become part of a 300-ft art project that will travel the U.S. to educate the public about bird-window collisions and you'll be part of the searchable database of people that contributed. We'll also learn how to prevent bird-window collisions - especially important during spring migration!
COST: This is a FREE workshop, but we highly encourage a $5 donation to support the amazing work of the Nature Center of Cape May.
WHEN: Saturday, March 7th, 1pm-3pm
WHERE: Nature Center of Cape May (1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ, 08204)
Note: This is a family-friendly program. Adults must accompany children. Participation is limited. Pre-registration is required.
CANCELLATION POLICY: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund.
