Coastal Excursion: Green Crabs

Green crabs are spreading throughout the intertidal zones of the Gulf of Maine, disrupting ecosystems and outcompeting native marine life. Data collection is key to understanding how these invasive populations are shifting and where they may have the greatest impact in the future. Join Education Program Manager, Meggie Harvey and Senior Research Associate, Aaron Whitman at Kettle Cove in Cape Elizabeth to gather data on green crabs and learn more about how this invasive species is impacting the local ecosystem.
