1:30pm – 4:00pm
Begins February 7th 2026
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Rhythm of Life is an ongoing therapeutic drumming and rhythm workshop series designed especially for beginners or those who have never picked up a drum before. This is not a traditional drum circle—it is a guided, supportive therapeutic group that blends rhythmic learning with emotional exploration, mindfulness, and connection.
Participants are welcome to drop in casually each month—attend one session or all of them.
Drums are strictly limited and sessions will book out quickly.
BYO djembe or suitable hand drum to guarantee your place.
Each workshop weaves together:
Rhythmic learning (foundation drum technique, bass/tone/flam, patterns)
Rhythm2Recovery-informed activities
Somatic practices
Psychotherapeutic knowledge
Singing bowls, relaxation & grounding exercises
Group connection, creativity and emotional regulation
Based on the latest neuroscience, rhythmic therapeutic work has been shown to increase emotional regulation, strengthen social connection, reduce anxiety and support overall psychological well-being.
You will learn how to use rhythm for:
Self-expression
Tension release
Connection with others
Creativity
Self-reflection
Positive self-talk
Insight into emotions and personal patterns
