Join the Amarillo Film Society as we return to the Glory Days of westerns! Shot almost entirely in Palo Duro Canyon in eye popping Technicolor, and populated with every cowboy character actor from 1950, The Sundowners has something for everyone.
Food and beverage will be available for purchase, including a tap takeover by Old Tascosa Brewing Company, tasty barbecue and other delicious Sad Monkey Mercantile fare . Plus free popcorn and a western themed silent auction!
Bryan Vazzinni, history professor at WTAMU, introduces the film and does Q&A afterwards. His specialty is western film! He'll have plenty of insight about The Sundowners.
Everyone is encouraged to put on festive western wear and there may even be an award for the best giddy up!
Doors open 6:30 p.m. Film starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets $10 with all proceeds benefiting the Amarillo Film Society and the Amarillo International Film Festival!
