Yoga Wall Teacher Training Weekend
This course is Part 1 of a series led by Martin Zilbauer, a certified Iyengar yoga teacher and provider of Yoga Wall trainings around the world.
Based on the alignment-focused teachings of Iyengar Yoga, Martin's training provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Great Yoga Wall which is based on the work with wall ropes from B.K.S.Iyengar. You will learn how to use the Yoga Wall and other props to get a deeper understanding of a wide range of postures.
Whether you are new to the Yoga Wall or Iyengar Yoga, are an experienced Yoga teacher, or you have a different background as a body worker, this workshop offers plenty of new and creative ways to work within your own yoga practice and to teach your students a number of poses using the Yoga Wall.
In addition to in-depth learning about various ways of approaching asanas in a safe and therapeutic way, you will be able to integrate your new knowledge into your regular practice even when using no props.
During the course of this training you will learn how to teach 4 different sequences.
For each of these sequences we will take 4 hours in order for you to experience them.
First, as a Master class where you practice the sequence the same way as you could teach them afterwards.
Then there will be time to dissect the sequence as we look in detail at the different postures. You will learn how to adjust the belts according to the different height and proportions of students. We will also practice alternative variations of the postures to accommodate students with medical issues and/or limited mobility.
Finally you are ready to lead short tracks of the sequences to each other in small groups of 3 to give you the confidence to teach. We will also dedicate time to yoga anatomy and alignment points for a healthy practice, related to the use of the Yoga Wall and the asanas taught in the training.
