About the event

Pressure Canning Meat- Hands-on Workshop
Whether you are simply considering pressure canning or have previous experience, this hands-on workshop will include a chance for all levels and skills of learners.

Workshop includes:
-Opportunity to take part in canning process start to finish, using locally raised beef
-Each participant bringing home a jar of finished product
-Background information on why and how pressure canning works
-Examples of four different models of pressure canners
-Handouts and recipes
-Ample time for questions

Workshop is part of Extension's Homesteading for Everyone Series. Session is held in person at the Harvest Kitchen at the Extension Learning Farm.
