The Community Resource Fair will be held Thursday, May 8 from noon to 4PM at the Goodwill Ken Weber Community Campus, 408 Ninth St. SW in downtown Canton. It is a free event and open to the public.

More than 50 local agencies will take part in the event. Snacks will be provided.

Attendees will be able to receive free children’s books as part of Goodwill’s BookWorks program. Books are available in reading levels appropriate for infants through young adults.

Stark State College nurses will be on-site offering diabetic education and demonstrations on how to check blood glucose. There will be a vitals check table, mental health table and a table with crafts and face painting for kids. A licensed Nurse Practitioner will be on-site to answer questions.

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital will be hosting a pop-up grill during the Resource Fair, offering hot dogs to guests.

The event is sponsored by Stark County Hunger Task Force, Ohio Center for Hope, Molina Healthcare, Stark Metro Housing Association, and Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio.

Community services provided at the Goodwill Ken Weber Community Campus will continue during the event.
