64th Canton Canoe Weekend

Kicking off Canton Canoe Weekend on Friday afternoon, May 1st, will be The Rushton Tour, with two optional paddles. One option is the traditional downstream paddle on the Grasse River from the Pyrites access to Taylor Park in Canton, following much of the original race course which was established in 1962. The second option is to launch at Taylor Park and paddle upstream, and then return to the Park. Start anytime between 5pm and 6pm.

On Saturday morning there will 1, 4 and 8 mile recreational races appropriate for any paddler in canoe, kayak or standup paddleboard. These races are followed by the Pro and Amateur C-1 and K-1 races, and finally we finish on Saturday afternoon with a 2 mile team relay race.

Sunday morning we host the C-2 and K-2 Pro and Amateur tandem races.

Canton Canoe Weekend is one of the premier canoe race weekends in North America! There are top-level international competitions in solo and tandem racing canoes and kayaks. These races courses are among the most challenging on the marathon race circuit. All races are held on the Grasse and Little Rivers, with the start and finish at Taylor Park, Canton, NY.
