Coach Sweat was a college athlete at the University of Akron from 2013-2017 and played during the school's first-ever bowl win at the Idaho Potato Bowl. After graduation, he went on to coach at his alma mater high school, Canton McKinley, from 2019-2021. Four of his student-athletes went on to play at colleges like The University of Akron, Toledo, Cincinnati and Bowling Green. Afterwards, he moved up to collegiate coaching at Walsh University for the 2021- 2022 season. During his time at Walsh, he was a Special Teams and DB coach. Under his leadership, two Walsh Cornerbacks became all-conference players and moved on to play at Division 1 colleges, Duquesne and Campbell.The Skills Training Workshop is open to middle and high school WR's, TE's and DB's. Each student-athlete will gain exposure to both offensive and defensive positions making them more versatile and in-demand, increasing their chances of more playing time. Not only will student-athletes be trained for life on the field but also for life off the field. Here at StruXure Academy, our mission is to provide student- athletes with an environment that contains the StruXure necessary for them to focus on their athletic AND personal development.
