Welfare Centre Training
Course aims and objectives
To instruct staff on the establishment and operation of a multi-agency welfare centre. On completion of this event students will have gained an understanding and knowledge of the following:
Legislation and Definitions
Multi-agency Roles and Responsibilities
Humanitarian Welfare Requirements
Social and Psychological Issues
KRF Survivor / Evacuee Documentation
District Council, Kent County Council, Health, Emergency Services, Voluntary and Cat 2’s and Emergency Services staff with a potential role in the establishment and running of multi-agency welfare centres. Please note that attendees will need to consider a refresher course after three years.

A live play exercise element is included in this training.
Attendees on this training can claim up to 3 CPD Points as part of the EPS Endorsement Scheme.
This training is benchmarked against the following National Occupational Standards (NOS) – Civil Contingencies:
CC AA2 – AA3 CC AH1 CC AB1 D2 CC AC1 HB1 (ML B1) CC AG3 – AG4 HSS 1

This training is funded through Part 1 of the KRF Partnership Agreement.
Agencies who have not signed Part 1 are also invited to attend command courses at no additional cost to benefit the learning for all partners.
This event is restricted to 45 delegates per course, so early booking is advised.
