Tuesday 19th March(AM) Review & Development Session for Impact Case Studies
Review & Development Session for Impact Case Studies, 19th March 2019
10am - 12.30pm (with coffee break)
Sign up Deadline: 5pm on 21st Feb 2019
More about the session:
This session will be interdisciplinary. We are not expecting fully formed case studies yet so evaluation will take into account potential as well as actual progress. This is purely a voluntary exercise and a platform for exchanging ideas and best practice among case study leads and REF Coordinators. We aim to keep to a small group size in order to facilitate meaningful discussion.
All impact case studies and positive, developmental feedback provided will be discussed openly during the session in order to gain maximum constructive group feedback and suggestions. The chair may direct group discussions around the following questions:
What are the key defined areas of impact within this cases study?
Is the evidence currently provided strong enough to support the impact claimed?
What actions could be undertaken to improve this case study?
How will the review process be conducted?
You will be given, in advance of the meeting, two impact case studies from your peers to review. You will be asked to provide your feedback using a concise feedback form. To assist with this process you will be given a brief two page guidance document.
You will have two weeks to review your allocated case studies and submit your feedback. In turn your impact case study will also be reviewed and discussed within the session.
Key dates :
Thursday 21st Feb 5pm - Deadline to sign up via EventBrite and provide the latest version of your case study document for review. (Further details will be sent to attendees on where to submit your case study.)

Sharing of information -
Participants must be aware that in order to gain maximum benefit and opportunities for feedback, case studies and their respective feedback will discussed openly but in a supportive and constructive manner during the review workshop. It is however expected that the cases study documents and feedback shared in the workshops should remain confidential to that session group.
