Pruning Mature Apple Trees: UNH Extension Workshop

This is a HANDS-ON Workshop in the historic Canterbury Shaker Village orchard.

Jeremy Delisle, UNH Fruit Specialist, will demonstrate correct pruning of the historic apple trees. All participants will then work in teams and get practice on how to correctly prune.

What to Bring:
- Pruning tools if you have them. This includes hand pruners, loppers and extension/pole pruners as well as pruning saws. PLEASE label them with your name. We will also have tools to share.
- Gloves
- Dress to be outside in the orchard! Layers, for whatever weather we get on the day and however it changes through the morning

- Warm footwear with good treads. Weather depending, you might like to bring snowshoes or crampons if the weather has been icy
