How do we make a meadow?
Through collaboration and community! Help us make a wilder space for us all in this free, family-friendly event for all.
In the UK 97% of our wildflower meadows have been lost since WW2. With the crash in biodiversity as serious a concern as climate breakdown, connecting young people with these species rich grassland habitats is essential for our futures.
Gather Green, the home of First Hand Experiences CIC, is a 6 acre fallow field on a biodynamic farm near Canterbury.
Creating a wildflower meadow habitat where children and the wider community can reconnect with nature is the first step of building our new home. Come and help us sow the first seed of this exciting project.
This is a FREE family-friendly event where all are welcome.
The morning farm to fork cooking session is priced at £4 which covers the cost of our natural chef, local, organic ingredients and your 2 course meal!
Children join the cooking session and eat for FREE!
If you want to just come along and help with sowing or drop in for some craft there’s no fee. Come any time from 10am for sowing.
