Join us for our first large mammal BioBlitz at Stodmarsh NNR, run jointly by Kent Mammal Group and Natural England.
Cast your own beaver footprints to take home, enjoy guided walks to look for beaver signs and learn about the large wild mammals found at Stodmarsh.
🦫Short guided walks to look for beaver signs and learn more about mammals will set off from the car park at 30-minute intervals between 10am-2:30pm, perfect for families or those short on time.
🦫Longer guided walks will take place at 10:30am-12:30pm and 1-3pm, for a more in-depth discussion of beaver ecology, activity and their impact on the reserve, aimed at adults. Space is limited for these, so please book via Eventbrite (see the links in the discussion).
🐾Based at Stodmarsh car park, there will be touch tables with mammal skulls, fur, feeding signs, tracks and poos, plus nocturnal footage of some of our larger mammals- beavers, badgers, foxes and even the occasional otter or deer. Footprint casting will be based here too. Complete the beaver trail and get your finished trail sheet stamped with inky beaver footprints to take home!
