About this EventGothic Games Canterbury (GGC) – Battle Pass and Event Terms & Conditions (UK)1. OverviewThese Terms and Conditions apply to all Battle Pass holders and ticketed attendees of Gothic Games Canterbury (“GGC”) events.
By purchasing a Battle Pass or ticket, you agree to comply with the following terms, which are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
2. Battle Pass Tiers and Validity🥉 Bronze
- Covers all Community Gaming Sessions from 1 January to 30 June (typically held most Wednesdays and some Saturdays).
- No additional event fees required for these sessions.
🥈 Silver
- Includes all Bronze benefits.
- Covers all GGC RTT (Rogue Trader Tournament) events (minimum one per month).
- Valid from 1 January to 30 June.
🥇 Gold
- Includes all Silver benefits.
- Covers entry to the May Grand Tournament (GT).
- Valid from 1 January to 30 June.
💎 Diamond
- Includes all Gold benefits.
- Covers all GGC sessions and events for the entire year (1 January to 31 December).
- No further session or event fees required for the year.
Payment and Refunds- Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase.
- Battle Passes are non-transferable and valid only for the named participant.
- Once activated, Battle Passes are non-refundable, except as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
3. General Event and Venue Conditions- Age Restrictions: No children under the age of 18 will be admitted unless accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult aged 18 or over. Responsibility for under-18s remains entirely with the parent or guardian.
- Smoking: Smoking and vaping are not permitted within the Venue.
- Photography: The unauthorised professional use of photographic or recording equipment is prohibited.
- Event Details: Event timings, schedules, and parking arrangements are subject to change. Please check details before travelling.
- Security Searches: GGC and the Venue reserve the right to conduct searches of attendees and their possessions.
- Refusal of Entry: GGC and the Venue reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any person, without refund, who:
- Unreasonably refuses to be searched;
- Is considered harmful, undesirable or offensive; or
- Is deemed necessary to remove in the interests of security, safety, or the enjoyment of others.
- Animals: Only registered assistance dogs are permitted at the Venue.
- Ticket Validity: All attendees must hold a valid ticket or Battle Pass. Defaced or altered tickets will be void.
- Personal Property: GGC and the Venue accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings.
- Liability: Entry to the Venue and participation in events are at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GGC and the Venue exclude liability for loss, damage or injury howsoever caused.
- Damage to Venue: Attendees are responsible for any damage caused to the Venue, furnishings or equipment through their wilful act or default.
- Filming and Photography: Events may be filmed, photographed or recorded by GGC or the Venue for broadcast, promotional, or security purposes. By attending, you consent to being filmed or recorded without payment.
- Dietary Requirements: Please inform GGC of any dietary requirements in advance.
4. Costumes and Thematic DressCostumes are permitted under the following conditions:
- Costumes must not contain real or realistic military equipment, camouflage, or helmets used by any unit post-1900.
- Real, replica, or scaled weapons are strictly prohibited.
- Costumes must not display allegiance or affiliation to any real political or military movement.
- Costumes must be safe, decent, and appropriate for a public event.
- Costumes should relate to the worlds and universes created by Games Workshop.
- GGC staff may ask attendees to modify or remove costumes or accessories that are deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
5. Conduct and Fair Play- All attendees must follow the GGC Code of Conduct, showing respect, fairness, and good sportsmanship.
- GGC reserves the right to suspend or revoke a Battle Pass or ticket, without refund, if a participant breaches the Code of Conduct or behaves inappropriately.
6. Event Changes and Cancellations- GGC may alter or cancel sessions or events due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. venue issues, illness, or force majeure).
- Where possible, cancelled events will be rescheduled.
- Refunds will only be issued for cancelled events in accordance with Eventbrite’s terms and applicable UK law.
- No refunds will be provided for postponed or rescheduled events within the valid Battle Pass period.
7. Data Protection and Privacy- GGC collects and processes personal data (e.g. name, contact details, and attendance) in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
- Data will be used solely for event administration, safety, and communication purposes.
- Personal data will not be shared with third parties without your consent unless required by law.
8. Complaints- Any issues or complaints should be raised promptly with GGC staff during the event or in writing via the official GGC contact email.
- GGC aims to respond to all written complaints within 14 working days.
9. Independence from Games WorkshopThis event is organised independently by Gothic Games Canterbury and is not affiliated with or administered by Games Workshop Ltd in any way.
Any rights or claims lie solely with Gothic Games Canterbury. Games Workshop accepts no liability for any actions, omissions, or event management decisions of GGC.
10. Governing LawThese Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. AgreementBy purchasing a Battle Pass or event ticket, you confirm that you:
- Have read and understood these Terms and Conditions;
- Agree to comply with the GGC Code of Conduct; and
- Accept the conditions of entry, participation, and liability outlined above.
