Excel Intermediate (1 day)
The course is intended to provide learners with the confidence and ability to use a wide range of Excel features to get the most out of a complex and powerful tool.
Learners will create calculations, use functions and formula, create dynamic charts and graphs, analyse data, use Pivot Tables, work with multiple worksheets, link files and data, use lookup functions and learn lots of tips, tricks and shortcuts before completing assessments to gain a nationally recognized qualification.
The course offers great skills to learners of all backgrounds and job role and will focus on hands on skills to maximize the learning experience.
Who is it for?
Learners should be familiar with the Windows and Microsoft Office environment and comfortable using a mouse. Learners should have some familiarity with Excel and should be able to enter and edit data, be familiar with cell references and simple calculations and be aware of features such as AutoSum and number formatting.
You will gain the following skills
Using date and time formulas
Using names to simplify spreadsheet formula
Use functions such as average, minimum and maximum to create statistical information
Using more complex formulas and functions to manipulate or summarise data
Use Conditional Formatting to visually enhance your data analysis
Using Paste Special effectively to link to Word or PowerPoint
Using conditional functions such as IF and COUNTIF
Working with multiple worksheets using grouping
Linking formulas across multiple worksheets
Use the Consolidate feature to summarise multiple sheets of data
Create a basic Pivot Table to summarise large sets of data easily
